Reduction of methane emissions

Monitoring of the methane reduction system

Monitoring of the methane reduction system

Monitoring of the methane reduction system is the final link in the entire REM process. For example, due to environmental reporting requirements or the need for continuous process management, it is extremely important to obtain reliable measurements of the effects of implementing the entire methane emission reduction system. EXME Berger Group handles the planning, implementation as well as operation and maintenance of the entire set of measurement systems. We also design and implement the system at the request of investors who perform their own monitoring. In this case, we offer training and ongoing warranty and post-warranty technical support.

Modern measurement systems are complex and technologically advanced computer systems cooperating with a set of devices, selected individually for a given application, performing many functions simultaneously. They are characterised primarily by their speed and the accuracy of operation.

We design and build measurement systems that provide:

  • continuous measurement of the operating parameters of a given system,
  • regular readings and records of the measured values,
  • notifying the user of current operating conditions, including warnings and alarms,
  • ongoing monitoring as well as easy and intuitive control of the process,
  • clear visualisation and preview of the process while transmitting data to multiple control stations selected by the user,
  • creation of current and historical reports.

The measurement systems implemented and used by our company are used in particular in demethanation stations, installations accompanying cogeneration systems, and wherever it is necessary to monitor the parameters and control the process of gas and heat transfer, as well as in the widely understood mining and energy industries. The systems we make provide accurate measurement results, since they run on precise and certified measurement devices, such as chromatographs, turbine gas meters and various types of transducers. Among other things, our solutions are used to measure the quantity and quality of gas for commercial billing purposes, emission accounting, measuring the amount of the produced energy, and continuous control over the process.

For complex applications, such as, e.g. demethanation stations, measurement systems can be part of a larger software architecture. Such a solution combines multiple functions simultaneously. Based on the current readings of the operating parameters, the master system is responsible for automating, optimising, monitoring and controlling the process. As a result, the user gets a comfortable working environment that provides quick responsiveness, the comfort of work, and the ease of use.
